BIO:
RockMelon were formed in 2006 under the name 'The Unlikely Lads' by Anthony Hible and Ben Jowett. Several changes of name were seen until the band settled on 'RockMelon' and since then, have never looked back.
Since being founded by Yorkshiremen, RockMelon have battled to make an impression on the live music scene as down-to-earth, passionate musicians without pretentiousness, never giving up, always soldiering forward to bigger things. They have now had played alongside many musicians including Adam Ficek of Babyshambles and headlined a festival with The Sugababes.
RockMelon have risen through the ranks, ever growing bigger, recording singles in London, both headlining and selling out shows at Sheffield's prestigious Leadmill venue and playing several live sets on the radio accompanied by interviews.
In 2012 RockMelon released their 1st single for online purchase and within a day it became No.1 on Amazon's "Hot New Releases" chart for the Rock Genre. They were also featured on the website of Blur's Graham Coxon for the launch of his album 'A&E' as the number 1 suggested band to support him in Nottingham.
RockMelon have now played in various venues throughout the UK and continue to do so, rocking off faces and melting ears wherever they go.
You love it!
