Orsi Kozma

Orsi Kozma is one of the most multi-faceted and all-round young Hungarian female singer who has a unique voice and a musical world far beyond her age. She is a key personality of the Hungarian jazz scene. The dynamic artist started a solo career after the success of groups Jazz + Az and Cotton Club Singers. The Kozma Orsi Jazz Quartett was created in 2008, to make the range of musical genres even more colourful. The band released their first album the same year Hide and Seek which immediately got nominated for Fonogram award. The album was also published in Japan in 2010, it won the Jazzy song contest’s special prize in 2009 and at the Fringe Festival of Pécs it received the professional award in 2010.
The singer experienced a breakthrough and a national popularity beginning from her contribution to Jazz + Az. She became a member of Cotton Club Singers from 2002. She met music producer Krisztián Szakos in 2005 and together they made her first solo album: Egy szó. (One Word). Orsi left her vocals group (Cotton Club Singers) in order to focus on her solo career. Her second pop album was released in 2007 under the title Igazi szerep (True role). Her third album came out in 2013 titled Vulkán (Volcano).
