Description
RMRS
Emerging as of late from the San Antonio music scene comes RMRS ( formerly Rumors) , a quartet of passionately driven musicians collectively building a better community inspired by art and music. RMRS was established August of 2011, but was not brought to the public until late 2012, when the band felt the time was perfect for the world to hear their blood, sweat and tears. Consisting of five young men working together for same idea, there is not just one leader. Every person in the band is a leader of a sort. Guitarist Kyle Cooper and Mark Anthony Equivel write the base idea for the song. Edward Welsch then composes the melodies on bass along with drummer Joseph Briones. Michael Christopher sings and shapes every word or phrase from his vocals as well as his keys. Each band member then also either sings or plays a variety of other instruments to create what is know as RMRS. The name is spreading quickly through San Antonio with the latest Cd Release being published through all local magazine's, newspapers and radio stations. "Dont Say What It Means To You" being the first release from the band, has already been hitting airwaves from different cities such as Austin, Corpus Christi, even as far as Dallas. Representing San Antonio, RMRS won a spot on the Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands 2014 this summer for the Vans Warped Tour. With such a short life span, the band has already shared the stage with so many big names such as Glassjaw, Minus The Bear, Mutemath, Chiodos, Emery, This Will Destroy You, The Octopus Project, Lower Dens, Juicy J, The Dear Hunter, Protomen, Bright Light Social Hour and so much more! Intentions were made by the band to create something ambient yet driving that will leave melodies stuck in your head for days. "With writing for this band, we each took our life long influences and crafted what we thought could be something so versatile to all audiences, yet mature enough to reach a set specific taste. Although the first full length was just released, the band has ambitiously has already recorded the second album to be released in late 2014. With a full tour in plan for the summer, RMRS has only one hope in mind, to reach as many like-minded and creative souls who in turn are looking to make a difference.
