Description

Hola la Poyana!

Hola la poyana! is the solo project of Raffaele Badas. After being a stable member of several local rock bands as a guitarist, bassist and singer, a folk and blues attitude slowly developed, leading him to create a new project named "Hola la Poyana", followed by a fake psychedelic Bio with "La Poyana" as a protagonist.

The project was in fact designed to consist of nothing but vocals, acoustic guitar and stomp box, combined with lyrics that mix irony and melancholy. HLP! has shared the stage with Geoff Farina (Karate and many others.
His main influences are the blues of Skip James and Mississippi Fred McDowell, the country ballads of Neil Young, the instrumental folk of John Fahey and finally some more distinctly 90's digressions.
After a self-produced five-track Ep entitled "Lazy Music for Dry Skins", released in March 2012, followed by an extensive Italian tour, he released his first full-length album called "Tiny collection of songs about problems relating to the opposite sex" for the
Sardinian-based label Hopetone Records and immediately started a new tour in November 2013.
The ongoing "Tiny Tour" has already reached 50 dates
